General Make Lemonade FAQ’s ✏️

Let’s dive into pricing, planning & policies.

  • We bring all sorts of flower magic to life in our Toronto studio. Here’s what we specialize in:
    Brand Activations + Corporate Events, Weddings + Private Events, and Workshops.

  • We operate out of a private studio in downtown Toronto and service the GTA: including North York, Hamilton & Niagara Region.

    Although our studio isn’t open to the public, you can always send us snail mail to: 507 King St East, Toronto - that’s our mailing address!

  • Yay! We would love to bring your floral vision to life. Whether you’re looking for wedding, workshop, corporate, or out-of-the-box florals, we can’t wait to chat blooms.   • Our pricing is customizable to suit your needs, as with all of our floristry services. Here are our minimums:

    Brand Activations + Corporate Events: $2,500
    Weddings + Private Events: $4,500
    Workshops: $130/person (minimum 10 people)

    A 25% deposit is required to secure your date in the Make Lemonade calendar. 1 month before your event, the final balance will be due

  • Yes! We do travel! Our workshops are 100% mobile, meaning we come to you. For events & weddings, we are always looking to add new destinations to our portfolio.

  • The earlier, the better my friend. 6 - 4 weeks is my minimum, and there’s a few reasons for that:
    1) The earlier you schedule, the higher chance I’ll be available to flower your event!

    2) We can secure your first choice of flowers

    3) You’ll get my whole ass. No half assin’ here! When we have adequate time to plan, we can do our best work for you.

    We work with a select number of clients each year, so it’s best to secure your date with us as soon as possible.

  • Best way to get in touch is by filling out our inquiry form - that ensures your query is at the top of my inbox!

  • You’ll receive an automated email from my management system, confirming I received your inquiry. Within a few business days I’ll manually respond, and invite you for a consultation if I’m available on your requested date.

  • You betchya! With every inquiry, I offer an initial complimentary consultation call, provided your selected date is available.

  • After our consultation call, I’ll put together a proposal outlining what we chatted about, my contract, most likely a mood board, and most importantly: a pricing breakdown.

  • Yay! Once you’ve signed the contract and made your 25% deposit, that means your event is officially secured in the Make Lemonade calendar.

    Between the date of booking and your event, I’ll be in touch a few times to confirm floral direction, lock in logistics, and finalize any tweaks. If you’re working with a planner, I’ll be in touch with them, too.

    A week after your event I’ll pop up in your inbox one last time to see how everything went, get a sneak at some photos, and ask for any feedback. Creating floral designs is what I love to do, but learning where I can improve helps me grow my small business…and your feedback matters to me!

    All of our communication will be via email to keep everything organized and in one place.

  • We accept all major credit cards including: Amex, Mastercard, American Express, and Google Pay.

    As a small business though, e-transfers are always appreciated! Those processing fees really add up, and this is one small way to make a difference.

Workshops & Experiences ✂️

  • You betchya! Our workshops are designed to cater to guests at a range of experience levels: from complete novice, to comfortable working with fresh flowers.

    Our team provides a comfortable environment to learn practical floral design skills and encourages participants to try something new!

  • Yes, and yes!

    Our Public Workshops are one of our specialties - we just love to lead them! They’re completely mobile and customizable: meaning we’ll pop up in your office for a team building experience or wellness program, your home or restaurant for a bachelorette, or private party celebration.

    On occasion we offer workshops to the public. Join our newsletter to stay up to date and learn about the next time we host!

  • Here’s what you can expect with a Make Lemonade workshop:

    • A custom to you workshop, lead by our lead designer Rachel Kelly (that’s me!)

    • Flower scissors to design with

    • Fresh, in-season flowers in a colour palette of your choosin

    • A take home box, a unique vase, and new found skills and confidence to design with flowers again, and again

    • A friendly, approachable learning environment!

  • Workshops run anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes depending on your preference. We’ll arrive 60-30 minutes prior to set up, and stay after to do any tidying up.

  • If 60 days' notice is given, the deposit will be issued. If the cancellation is given less than 60 days' notice, no deposit will be refunded.

    If the client changes the event date and Make Lemonade is available on the new date, the final balance will be due 7 days prior to the new date. If the event date change is within 14 days of the original event date, the deposit will not be refunded.

  • Make Lemonade private workshops are for a minimum of 10 people, with a rate of $130 per person. 

    If there are over 20 participants, there is an extra flat fee of $75, so that we can hire another pair of hands. If there are 40+ participants, there will be an extra $75 flat fee on top of that, and so on.

    We require a 25% deposit to secure the booking.
